In the past, when I wanted to achieve better flexibility, I turned to yoga (I was practicing yoga for many reasons but flexibility was one of them) but despite my efforts, I was still not at the physical level I wanted to be.
Splits were just a dream and my backbends were far away from being comfortable. And on top of that, I started getting injured.. My hamstrings were constantly flaring up because of all the stretching I was doing during my yoga practice.
Only later on I learnt that focusing just on passive flexibility is not a well balanced approach to increasing range of motion.Â
I discovered the magic of mobility training and active, dynamic and loaded stretching. After I implemented these techniques and were given a structured plan to follow (very important piece!), things started to quickly improve.
